I purchased a tutorial, where is it?

After purchasing any tutorial, make sure you are logged into your account. Login first, go to the “My Account” section of our site, and click on “My Currently Available Tutorials”. On this page, simply click on the download button(s) to download all your purchased tutorials and enjoy.

How much time do I have to download a tutorial I just purchased?

Once you have purchased a tutorial, it will appear in your “My Account” section of our site, within the “My Currently Available Tutorials” area. Downloads will remain in this section for a period of one(1) week. After (1) week, the download links will disappear.

Once my download links disappear, how do I get them back?

The time to download your products is limited to (1) week. Please ensure you download and collect all your items before that time limit expires.

I forgot to download my tutorials and (1) week has passed, what can I do now?

If for whatever reason something happened and you couldn’t download all your tutorials within the (1) week period, we will extend your download links for another (1) week period and a $5.00 fee will apply. If it has been more than (30) days since your original order, we cannot extend the links and a new purchase will be required.

I purchased a tutorial more than (30) days ago and my computer recently was damaged. I lost all my hard drive data, including my tutorials; can I download them again?

Please practice good data back-up practices and protect your data. This is the sole responsibility of the consumer and we take no responsibility for lost data or damaged hard drives.

I am trying to follow your tutorials, but I don’t have 3dsMax, where or how can I get it?

3dsMax is available from Autodesk, as well as resellers. Some resellers offer lucrative discounts for educational versions of the software; in most cases you will need to provide proof that you are a student or teacher. A free 30 day trial version of 3dsMax can be downloaded from the Autodesk website, please follow the link for more information: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/mform?siteID=123112&id=10083915

I downloaded my tutorials to my hard drive; there are a lot of zip files; what do I do now?

Zip files are nothing more than compressed files, to keep file sizes smaller and make it more convenient to package and transmit files across computers. Make sure you have a program that can unzip these files for you. Programs that can do this are WinZip, WinRar, etc. We recommend WinRar ourselves.

I have uncompressed the zip files and they created folders; what now?

Simply open any of the folders and you will find a file called “Play.exe”. Double click on this file to start up the tutorials. You will be presented with a menu from which you can view any tutorials that come with that product. Simply select the video you would like to see and enjoy! We recommend you view the tutorials in order, for example, if you downloaded “Introduction to mental ray in SOFTIMAGE|XSI”, watch the first video and then go from there so you don’t get lost.

Do you have any free tutorials for SOFTIMAGE|XSI?

Yes we do in our free SOFTIMAGE|XSI tutorial section! Check our site regularly for the latest free tutorials and new products. Even better, join our newsletter to get the latest information on new tutorials. Go here to get started learning SOFTIMAGE|XSI for free: http://i3dtutorials.com/view/Tutorials/Free-SOFTIMAGE-XSI-Tutorials

I have a 56k modem connection; can I download products from your site?

Unfortunately in this age, 56k won’t cut it for most of today’s bandwidth demands. While technically you can use a 56k connection to download anything off the internet, including our tutorials, your connection will be very slow. This is especially evident when you try to stream our free tutorials. We recommend that you use a high speed internet connection, most of which are very affordable today. Examples of high speed internet connections are cable internet, DSL, etc. Internet services are not provided by us and we take no responsibility for your connection speed. Please contact your ISP for more information.

Can you ship me a DVD instead, because I don’t want to download?

As of the time of the writing, we do not offer DVD’s. Currently, we only offer downloads. Downloads have a distinct advantage over discs because you don’t have to wait for an item to get shipped to you, you don’t have to pay shipping costs, over head costs are cut out and therefore these savings are passed on to the customer, and because our downloads are broken up into chapters, you can start viewing downloaded chapters while you wait for your computer to finish downloading the rest of the chapters, so you can get and use your product as fast as possible. You paid for the product, so you shouldn’t have to wait 2 weeks for something to come in the mail. If we change this policy, we will make an announcement on our site.

What do I do if one of the files I downloaded is corrupted?

This is very rare and can be attributed to many factors, including but not limited to, your ISP, internet connection, traffic, etc. Please download everything within the (1) week time limit and check all your files to make sure they are not corrupt and are in working order. In the unlikely event that a file archive was corrupt, go back to your account page on our site and download the file again. This usually fixes the problem. If the problem persists with a specific file, please contact us immediately so we can look into it and help you. If you have constant problems with corrupt files, it is a sign that perhaps you have a bad internet connection, which can be associated to network lines, your ISP, or other factors. We do not take responsibility for clients’ internet connection or related hardware. Please ensure you have a reliable and working ISP and internet connection.

I purchased a tutorial, but I changed my mind and would like a refund?

We do not offer refunds under any circumstances and all sales are final. Because we are dealing with virtual products, we cannot offer refunds, or else everyone would purchase a tutorial, keep a copy, and get a refund. This would drive us out of business very quickly. This is standard practice among most online stores that offer downloadable content. If you would like, we recommend you purchase just one chapter from our tutorials and see for yourself the quality of our products. Once you do, we are sure you will be satisfied with our products. You can also check out some of our free tutorials.

What software do you offer tutorials for?

Currently we offer tutorial products that cover: SOFTIMAGE|XSI, Maya, and 3dsMax.

Can I pay by check?

Currently all payments are handled through PayPal, which is very secure. We do not accept checks ourselves. Please use a PayPal account or, if you don’t have a PayPal account, use a credit card.

Can I pay by money order?

Currently, we do not accept money orders. Please do not send money orders, as we will not be responsible for returning them.

What if I have comments, suggestions, or ideas for tutorials I would like to see?

We do our best to ensure our customers are satisfied. If you have any type of suggestion, comments, concerns, etc. you can always post at our forum once you have registered. Alternatively, you can contact us at the following email: info@i3dtutorials.com

I am totally lost and have no idea what I’m doing, how can I get some help?

Please visit our forum and ask your questions there. We will do our best to help you.

Is my credit card number safe when I purchase?

All our transactions are handled through PayPal and are safe and secure. At no point do we ever have your credit card or financial information. We never store it, share it, or even have it to begin with.

Can I backup my tutorials on a disc?

Yes, this is one way of protecting your data from loss.

Can I share my tutorials with friends?

Is it fun to live and work in sunny Miami, Florida?

Yes it most certainly is! Ever since we installed a new carbon fiber body kit on Robo, he hasn’t complained about the occasional rain showers. The only thing we have a problem with is when Robo roller blades all over South Beach, bumping into people and expensive parked cars. The police don’t take to kindly to that :)
